1000 km route in Quebec: from Bromont to Terrebonne
The 1000 km Race Across Quebec begins in the town of Bromont, renowned for its magnificent scenery, majestic hills and charming villages. Located at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, Bromont is an ideal place to start this adventure, with its impressive panoramas, winding trails and unique natural setting. The race ends in Terrebonne, after crossing a variety of sublime landscapes. Divided into two 500 km segments, this route allows you to discover Quebec in all its splendour and diversity. A fascinating journey between wilderness and vibrant culture.
Official map of the Race Across Québec 2025- 1000 km: start in Bromont, finish in Terrebonne, with a first loop to the east and then a large Loop 2 north of Montreal. Total itinerary 1,060 km for 12,460 m D+, RAAM qualifying event, in partnership with La Cordée.
Loop 1: From Bromont to Terrebonne - through mountains and valleys
The bike race starts in Bromont, where participants embark on a first section that takes them into the heart of the Eastern Townships. They cycle along the American border and the majestic shores of Lake Memphremagog.
Magog: cyclists continue eastwards, crossing Coaticook and weaving their way through the green landscapes of the Montagne Verte, a challenge as technical as it is impressive.
Granby: head for this town, before heading for the splendid Parc national de la Yamaska, a veritable haven of peace offering exceptional panoramic views.
Montreal: participants cross the Montreal region, taking in the famous Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal routes, before tackling the iconic Mont Royal climb.
Finally, the cyclists will reach Terrebonne, bringing the first 500 km to a close. Then another loop awaits.
Loop 2: Loop from Terrebonne - between nature and Quebec culture
Mont-Tremblant National Park
Departing from Terrebonne's Basecamp , this second loop takes you on a journey through the western part of the Montréal Outaouais region: we head west through the Outaouais region to Lac Simon, an idyllic spot offering peaceful scenery and an ideal playground for cyclists.
Mont-Tremblant: then it's on to the mythical Mont-Tremblant, where we take the Nordet, a winding, demanding road that leads all the way to Saint-Donat, offering breathtaking panoramas along the way.
Parc régional de la forêt Ouareau: from here, the race plunges into the heart of the wilderness, passing through the Parc régional de la forêt Ouareau, a place conducive to disconnection and physical challenges, with varied terrain and superb views.
Trans Terrebonne: the end of the course promises to be more arduous, with the climb south through steep hills to the Trans Terrebonne, before crossing the finish line.
This final segment, combining technical challenges and wilderness immersion, concludes the race on an intense but rewarding note.
500 km bike race in Quebec: an endurance challenge between the Laurentians and Lanaudière
The 500 km route through the Laurentians and Lanaudière offers an intense and spectacular cycling adventure, where nature, grandiose landscapes and sporting challenges meet. A true immersion into the heart of Quebec's biodiversity, this segment takes you through two of Quebec's most emblematic regions, each with its own unique character.
Loop 1: From Lac des 16 Îles to Terrebonne - in the heart of the Laurentians
This first 200 km loop will take you through the Laurentian region, known for its majestic mountains and numerous lakes:
Lac des 16 îles: the race begins by heading towards Lac des 16 îles, offering immersion in the peaceful beauty of the region, while preparing cyclists for the challenges ahead.
Morin-Heights and Saint-Adèle: after this first stage, the route heads for Morin-Heights and Saint-Adèle, picturesque Laurentian villages where the winding roads offer thrilling climbs and descents.
Loop 2: Loop from Terrebonne - on the roads of the Lanaudière region
Departing from Basecamp in Terrebonne, this second loop takes you to a different part of Quebec, the Lanaudière region, renowned for its lakes, immense forests and numerous regional parks. Another trip to the heart of Quebec.
Ste-Marguerite du Lac Masson
Base camp in Terrebonne before heading south to Saint-Jean-de-Matha, a small town nestled in the heart of the mountains, offering great challenges for the legs.
Saint-Michel-des-Saints: a destination where the Laurentian wilderness becomes even more omnipresent, with its dense forests and splendid panoramas.
Parc national du Mont-Tremblant: participants cross part of the park, a veritable natural gem, with its majestic landscapes, crystal-clear lakes and steep slopes sure to test their endurance.
Ste-Marguerite du Lac Masson: along the Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau, an unspoilt natural area ideal for discovery and physical challenge.
Back to Terrebonne: finally, the loop concludes with a return to the city, via the Trans Terrebonne, a demanding route that will allow participants to finish this first loop in style.
This loop, rich in diversified landscapes and varied challenges, is the perfect test of cyclists' endurance, while offering a beautiful immersion in Quebec nature.
